CriticalAnalysis

Thebook is divided into various sections with each providing a detailedanalysis of the modern and post-modern theories of career developmentfor individuals across all the major age groups. The informationcontained in the documents relates to the experiences of children andadults. This form of chronological organizations provides the readerswith a simple means of following the progress. Rather than mix thetheoretical perspective of the learners, it provides a step-by-stepanalysis of the stories which makes it relatively easy to go throughthe entire book within a relatively shorter time. Another importantcharacteristic of the article is the use of italics to present thedirect quotations from the stories. This is essential since itensures that the work is well-organized and as such the audience canbe able to relate to the specific stages of career development withthe respective ages.

Thestyle of writing uses both the present and past simple tenses to passinformation. In addition to this, the article incorporates both thedirect quotations from the participants as well as paraphrasing othersections to facilitate the subject under discussion. There are noextensive uses of idioms and similes in this context. The author useslimited conjunctions to ensure the continuity of the stories. Thisensures that there is no comparison analysis between the various agegroups. Rather, each section of the paper is completed independentlywithout comparing it with the next stage. Even though the paper hasbeen divided into phases based on the topics such as children’sstories, adolescent stories, and adult stories, the authors failed toprovide the specific ages that fit each of the descriptions above. This is necessary since the transition from childhood to adolescenceoccurs at different stages among various individuals and as such, thearticle should have highlighted this disparity at the beginning.

However, the article provides an extensive analysis of the subject ofdiscussion. The basic concepts of the topic are covered in the text. The provision of real-life examples improves the effectiveness of thedocument. Additionally, by breaking the article into sections, thelearning process is simplified thereby ensuring that the audience canfollow the progress through the years with relative simplicity. Theintegration of the modern and post-modern theories of careerdevelopment also contributes to the topic of discussion. It improvesan individual’s understanding since one can relate to the actualstories provided in the article.

Theprimary purpose of the document was to enlighten the audience of thestages of career development. For a literary piece aimed at informingthe public, there are essential features that it must show in termsof clarity, accuracy, and coherence. With regards to the former, thearticle is clear with the font sizes making it relatively easy toread. Additionally, the information has been presented in atransparent manner thereby making it easy to understand. It isorderly and coherent, and this can be highlighted by the subtopicsthat indicate the transition from childhood to adulthood. However, its accuracy can be disputed due to the authors’ failure to mentionthe actual age brackets for all the stages of analysis.
