Acomparison of my leadership characteristics and styles with those ofSundarPichai shows that having a clear business vision is anessential component for a company, such as Google. Since the companyis not a start-up, it needs a leader who can make innovativedecisions quickly to move the company forward. Another comparisonalso portrays communication is an important aspect of a leader poorcommunication leads to poor results and vice versa. Inspiring theemployees is also another characteristic of a good leader even ifemployees are talented and qualified they also need to be inspiredand motivated so that they can perform to their best.

Differentenvironmental and societal factors affect the types of leadershipstyles as they are applied in various organizations. The kind ofemployees that an organization attracts determine the method used.For instance, Google is a technologically based company hence, itmostly attracts a younger generation. Such a company needs theparticipative style of leadership whereby employees are involvedbefore decisions are made. The type of business also determines thestyles used in that firms that operate in changing markets need aleadership style that makes decisions quickly. Inconclusion, all businesses require a particular style orcharacteristic of leadership that is determined by the type oforganization, environmental or societal factors, and economicconditions. The leadership style used should be able to guarantee thepositive business results both in the short and long run.
